Henry (1862-1910) Another pen name :Olivier HenryHis primitive name : Williams Sydney Porter,About his life,William Sydney Porter was born in Greenbor

2、o, North Carolina. His father was a physician. When William was three, his mother died, and he was raised by his parental(父亲的) grandmother and paternal aunt. William was an avid reader, but at the age of fifteen he left school, and then worked in a drug store and on a Texas ranch. He continued to Ho

3、uston, where he had a number of jobs, including accountant,land board clerk, reporter. In 1887 he married Athol Estes Roach; they had a daughter and a son.,About his life,O. Henrys last years were shadowed by alcoholism(酗酒), ill health, and financial problems.O. Henry died of cirrhosis(肝硬化) of the l
