1、1,名篇翻译赏析,09级翻译一班王一帆0905424021,2,郭沫若,3,郭沫若（18921978），现、当代诗人、剧作家、历史学家、古文字学家。原名开贞，笔名郭鼎堂、麦克昂等。主要作品有漂流三部曲等小说和小品六章等散文，作品中充满主观抒情的个性色彩。还出版有诗集星空、瓶、前茅、恢复，并写有历史剧、历史小说、文学论文等作品。 浓郁的悲伤感怀的情绪是郭沫若20年代文艺性散文最大的特点。其中路畔的蔷薇等六篇小品 , 是一组牧歌式的抒情短歌。这是他 1928年2月因被国民党政府通缉，流亡日本 期间的作品。,4,郭沫若,张培基,5,张培基先生曾任研究生导师，北京市高级职称评委，中国翻译工作者协会理事
2、，外文出版社英文翻译顾问，获国务院颁发的突出贡献者特殊津贴。他的名字已经被列入中国翻译家词典，在当今中国翻译界有着重要的地位。 张培基先生在译坛孜孜不倦地耕耘了50年，他的译著和专著在学术界有着广泛的影响，被国内外图书馆收藏。被许多高校选定为英语专业翻译课教材的英汉翻译教程也是由张先生主编的。该书自80年初版以来已32次印刷，印数达100多万册。总而言之，张培基先生为中国翻译学的发展以及中外文化的交流做出了巨大的贡献。,6,路旁的蔷薇,清晨往松林里去散步，我在林荫路畔发现了一束被人遗弃了的蔷薇。蔷薇的花色还是鲜艳的，一朵紫红，一朵嫩红，一朵是病黄的象牙色中带着几分血晕。 我把蔷薇拾在手里了。,

They were still

One was purplish-red, another pink, still another a sickly ivory-yellow slightly tinged with blood-red.,14,原句中有三个“一朵”作为量词来用,从中文来看其相互关系是并列的;译者却按照以英语为母语的读者的思维模式将其译为“递进”关系,用了“one.another. still another.”这就使译文变得非常地道,完全摆脱了那种所谓表面上“形似”的金科玉律。更值得一提的是译者在处理原文四个有关色彩词语时显得非常得心应手。其中用a sickly ivory
9、_yellow slightly tingedwith blood_red不仅与原意铢两悉称,且文字典雅精当。原文的“病”指“病态”,译者用sickly表达,比用unhealthy更为确切。又,ivory_yellow和blood_red都以实物颜色词和颜色词相配合的形式出现,甚为地道。,15,昨晚上甜蜜的私语,今朝的冷清的露珠 Last nights whispers of love;this mornings drops of cold dew.,16,“昨晚上甜蜜的私语,今朝的冷清的露珠”这诗一般的语言也被译者译得很到位。“Last nights whispers of love;thi
10、s mornings drops of cold dew.”两个英语并列词组在结构上前后完全对称,与原文形似,并有同样言外之意,可称其为内容与形式有机结合的不可多得的一例。此外,译者用了“增益”“删略”互补的手法,译出了文中所“无”,如“love”;又割舍了文中所“有”,如“甜蜜的”,在潜层语义上实现了更完美的“统一”。,17,花瓶我没有，我在一只墙角上寻着了一个断了颈子的盛酒的土瓶。 Flower vase I had none, but I did find in a nook of my room an empty earthen wine bottlewith its neck bro
11、ken.,18,“花瓶我没有”一句译成“I have noflower vase.”也是无可非议的,但没有“Flower vase Ihave none”感情色彩那么浓或文学性那么强。张先生的这种译法不仅做到了与原文信息“等值”,而且连语序与原文都基本一致。译者若不非常熟悉none有时可作形容词用以及“宾语+主语+ to have+none”这种句式,就不可能有这种与原文维妙维肖的译法。,19,蔷薇哟，我虽然不能供养你以春酒，但我要供养你以清洁的流泉，清洁的素心。你在这破土瓶中虽然不免要凄凄寂寂地飘零，但比遗弃在路头被践踏了的好罢？O dear roses, though unable to treat you to spring wine, I could offer you limpid spring water and my sincere pure heart.
