3、ob.B: Hasnt it always been stressful? Why make demands now?A: With cutbacks after the recession, there is more workload per employee, so in actuality they do have more stress now than in the past. I just dont know if it warrants a pay raise for everyone.B: I guess the labor union seems to think so.D

I heard that many companies in our industry are being unionized, so its getting harder and harder to compete on a level playing field.B: Yes, were hopping on the bandwagon and signing up for the union. Mostly people are pretty happy about it. I guess it depends

5、 on if you are in management or in the labor force.A: Management isnt looking on the labor unions too favorably, Id guess. I dont blame them.Labor unions can really put the squeeze on the executives.B: Sure. But its probably better for the workers, because the unions whole purpose is to look out for

6、 the little guys. The only way that the little guys can take on the big bosses is if they unite. What gave them the motivation to finally organize and call management on the substandard working condit

11、ions?A:I think they gained courage after the mayors speech last week on equality and opportunity for all town citizens. Anyway,the sentiments have been brewing for quite some time.I mean, we all know the working conditions at the factory are quite horrendous.B:So what kind of demands do they have? W

12、hat are they asking for specifically?A:They want raises and medical insurance, and I think they want to clean up the factorys safety hazards. Because both groups are made up of mothers, so as before, we can play up on maternal instincts, hygiene, safe

17、ty, along those lines. But that being said, there are some specific differences that come into play.Because we are dealing with mothers of infants here.A: Right, that makes sense. Whats the average age?B: Demographics say in average age of 28.7, educational back ground of university or post-grad, annual household income of 40-50K a year.
