This early phase of product development plays a significant role in the success of a product, by minimizing the need for expensive design changes in later phases. Conceptual design, or what some call “ideation”, defines a general de

Conceptual design Conceptual design is the explicit construction of the ideas or concepts that a user needs to learn about what a product is, what it can do, and how it is intended to be used. It may also address what a product is not, what it cant do,

Conceptual design is very different from the engineering design of a product, which specifies architectural and programming details of how a product is implemented in code. That is, engineering design is d

Photorealism Photorealism is the genre of painting based on mak

19、ing a painting of a photograph. The term was primarily applied to paintings from the United States photorealism art movement that began in the late 1960s and early 1970s. 20、round,4Rapid prototyping Rapid prototyping is the automatic construction of physical objects using solid freeform fabrication. The first techniques for rapid prototyping became available in the late 1980s and were used to produce models and prototype parts. Today, they are used for a much wider rang

21、e of applications and are even used to manufacture production quality parts in relatively small numbers. Rapid prototyping takes virtual designs from computer aided design (CAD) or animation modeling software, transforms them into thin, virtual, horizontal cross-sections and then creates each cross-

22、section in physical space, one after the next until the model is finished.
