1、AmyTan(Chinese:信覃恩美；bornFebruary19,1952)isaChineseAmericanwriterwhoseworksexploremother-daughterrelationships.In1993,Tan,sadaptationofherfirstnovel,TheJoyLuckClub,becameacommerciallysuccessfulfilm.Thebookhasbeentranslatedinto35languages.Tanhaswrittenseveralotherbestsellingnovels,includingTheKitchenG
2、od,SWife,TheHundredSecretSenses,TheBonesetter,sDaughterandSavingFishFromDrowning.Shealsowroteacollectionofnon-fictionessaysentitledTheOppositeofFate:ABookofMusings.HermostrecentnovelSavingFishFromDrowningexploresthetribulationsexperiencedbyagroupofpeoplewhodisappearwhileonanartexpeditioninthejungles
3、ofBurma.Inadditiontothese,Tanhaswrittentwochildren5sbooks:TheMoonLady(1992)andSagwa,theChineseSiameseCat(1994),whichwasturnedintoananimatedseriesairingonPBS.ShealsoappearedonPBSinashortspotencouragingchildrentowrite.PersonallifeAmyTanwasborninOakland,CaliforniatoChineseimmigrantsJohnTan,anelectrical
