General IntroductionNow what you have seen is our Traffic Patrol Station. It was set up in line with the reform of polic
2、e system. The modernized station exercises such functions as crime striking, order maintaining, traffic controlling and public serving. It enjoys 23 national patents.2. CamerasAs you can see on the computer screen, there are 8 Video Cameras in the station, four are on the top, and the other four are
3、 in the middle. All these cameras can give us a panoramic view of the surroundings. By the way, all the cameras are connected to the computers, which connect to the Ministry of Public Security and the command center of the Chongqing Public Security Bureau. They can give us point-to-point command whe
4、n it is necessary. 3. Fingerprint ModuleThis is our fingerprint module. It is connected with the fast-running computer through which can enter the national fingerprint database. Within half a minute, the device can detect if a fingerprint belongs to the suspect, and meanwhile keep the fingerprint in
5、 the national database. 4. Response AlarmThis is a phone. People can give us a call if it is necessary. We have four ways to alarm the police, which help us to respond quickly. Compared to the past, our responding time is shortened from about eight minutes to no more than three minutes. 5. Transitio
6、nSetting up on the street, the present station is more likely to be an eye-witness to crimes and guardian for the general public. With it, we can strike crimes more thoroughly and serve the public more completely.6. DigitalizationWhats more, we have all sorts of information stored in the computer, i
7、ncluding the national population data, drivers data, vehicle data, and escaped criminal data and so on. All these data are updated through the computer system according to the national database. 7. Handbook The handbook, used in patrolling, is the very advanced. Functioning in the same way with the
8、computer, the handbook helps us to identify suspects and criminals in a few seconds in patrolling. This is an ID card. The handbook can detect the fake ID card and help the police to catch the criminals. 8. LogisticsThe station is fully open, but it is very convenient and comfortable to work here. W
9、e have refrigerator, microwave oven, water dispenser, and fax machine in the station. In the summer, we have air-conditioner; while in the winter, we have infrared heater and cold-resistant boot.9. Equipment CabinetThis is the cabinet for police equipment. It stores all kinds of police kits, such as
10、 cameras, DVS and some documents.10. Convenience Service AreaThis is the Convenience Service Area. We serve the people for their convenience, such as umbrellas. Altogether 50,000 umbrellas are circulated through out Chongqing. People can borrow one for free with their ID number and return it to the
11、nearest station. People love it very much and more than 98 per cent are returned according to statistics. In order to serve the public more thoroughly, we have here emergency medicine, stationery, and vehicle repair kits. 11. Relationship with the PublicPeople around the station love us very much, s
12、ometimes they send us some dumplings and moon cakes when we are busy working during the holidays.12. Vehicles Ladies and gentlemen, there are currently 500 stations, 500 cars and 2,000 motor cycles throughout Chongqing. The car is equipped with a GPS positioning system and four cameras on the top, t
13、o monitor our law enforcement acts as well as to obtain evidence. Still, theres a laptop on the back seats of the car. And in the trunk, all sorts of police staff are stored in, such as extendable baton, loudspeaker, flash light, stab-resistant glove, stab-resistant clothing, stab-resistant armor, b
14、ullet-proof helmet, arresting gun, stretcher, oxygen, alcohol tester and so on. 13. EndingSince the establishment of the Patrol and Traffic Police, people feel much safer nowadays.
