10、ant part of Chinese culture has a long history. In many years ago, when China was still an ancient dynasty, wine was a common thing which used to be entertained for guests. When someone called on others home, the host usually offer wine for their visiting. At that time, wine is a food that expressed
11、 hosts hospitality and generous. From then on, wine has become a tradition of Chinese Culture between the host and guests. And now, this tradition is still retained by some regions, especially the places where minorities lived. Sometimes, people are not allowed to refuse their wine, because that beh
12、avior is considered to be unfriendliness. However, in recent years, the meaning of wine has been changed a lot. Wine is not a common drink, but a food to welcome some friend and family numbers. It has become a tool, a method to ask for another one to obtain the personal interest. In order to acquire
13、 the improper benefits, some people buy expensive wine and carry them to visit some who have power, such as government official, the judge, the police and so on. They think, in this way, they can escape from punishment, get the interest successfully. Obviously, this is a way of corruption. People wi
14、th ulterior motive use wine as a form of money to ingratiate himself with powerful man. Because wine is a special form of money, there are many luxury wines in the market. By adding some many others but deer things, a bottle of wine can be sold up to 10,000 or the even higher price. Wine, as an impo
15、rtant gift, is often given with the coming of some festivals, such as Spring Festival, The Mid-Autumn Festival and so on. On these festivals eve, maybe the subordinate will carry some wine to visit the bosss home. Bringing wine as gift is not just to express the greeting of festival, but win the fav
16、or of boss. They think that it is a good way to get promotion or something else. To my disappointed, this behavior has become a commonly trend and now has become more and more popular. It was reported that, a Public Security Bureau of Chongqing Province, WenQiang, was received a large number of wine
17、, including some famous band of wine, like Mao-tai, Laffite, which cost about nearly million Yuan. Unfortunately, this is not a single case. When we read newspaper, we can see many corrupt officials who become rich through graft. 2II. The wine in our lifeThe reason why people tend to buy wine as giv
18、ing is mainly based on the following two reasons. Firstly, wine is the common food. Many people drink wine as a daily habit. Giving and receiving wine can be seen as a normal greeting. Secondly, wine and tobacco are the most regular and indispensable food when having meals. In one word, drinking win
19、e is a regular method of Socializing. The powerful men can hardly live a social life without wine. So, many of that guys love to drink wine. And drinking wine has become a part of their job. For this reason, social climbers will surely try to satisfy them with wine. Secondly, so expensive is wine th
20、at it can show up oneself. It is well-known that wine has developed into a thing which stands for wealth, taste and position. It is not surprised that China is a real super nation of making wine consider wine is greatly needed by people. According to some statistics, China is a NO.1 country of consu
21、ming wine. In 2010, there was 8,908,000 kiloliter of wine produced in our country, which has used at least 26,724,000 ton of crop. This amount of crop is equivalent to 68,700,000 peoples consumption of crop. However, everybody knows that having too much wine can do harm to peoples health. Moreover,
22、wine has killed many people indirectly. The reason is that drunk driving has become a grave problem in China. We often hear about deaths and injuries resulting from drunk driving. The main factor that leads to the problem is that people always pay little attention to drunk driving. People always bel
23、ieve their driving skills and take the chances to avoid punishment from the traffic police. The light punishment on drunk driving is another important factor. Many people say that the light penalty is the primary reason why drunk driving has been on the rise. So, Chinese wine culture has many disadv
24、antages. We should change it.III. Chinese wine culture3.1 Wine and LiteratureAs a special form of culture, wine culture has its unique status in traditional Chinese culture.
