3、tially at 146.5 metres,the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years,the longest period of time ever held for such a record,Hanging Gardens of Babylon（巴比伦空中花园）,The gardens were supposedly built by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II(尼布甲尼撒二世)around 600 BC.He
4、 is reported to have constructed the gardens to please his homesick wife,Amytis of Media,who longed for the trees and fragrant plants of her homeland.The gardens were destroyed by several earthquakes after the 2nd century BC.,Statue of Zeus at Olympia奥林匹斯宙斯神像,The sculpture was about 12 meters high，w

7、ast 106 columns（圆柱）,each about 40 to 60 foot high.The temple foundation probably has 200 to ride 400 feet.,Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus（摩索拉斯陵墓）,The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus was a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus(哈利卡尔那索斯)for Mausolus(摩索拉斯),a satrap
8、in the Persian Empire,and Artemisia II of Caria,his wife and sister.The finished structure was considered to be an aesthetic(审美的)triumph(胜利).,The Mausoleum stood approximately 45m(148ft)in height,and each of the four sides was adorned with sculptural reliefs created by each one of four Greek sculpto
