According to the dictionary, intensive reading is to read repeatedly and carefully. Reading is an important way to collect information, understand the world, develop thinki

There are many ways to read, as a kind of reading method, intensive reading is an reading method mainly to research and study some special words, and to extract information on the basis of fully understanding. In this method, the students filter, analyze, synthes

23、ize, associate and a series of complex mental activities to grasp the authors thoughts and feelings and creative intent. Intensive reading, it means that Ye shengtao and Zhu Ziqing called to read finely and carefully as early as 40 years in the 20th century. The Intensive reading curriculum standard

24、s pose that each course can be devided as Intensive reading Class and Extensive reading class. There are Intensive Reading teaching method and Extensive teaching method. Intensive require look up new words in the dictionary. Students must transform from using English-Chinese dictionary to English-En

25、glish dictionary and figure out each words precise meaning in context, and note the phonetic of each word and repeatedly practice so that to pronounce correctly. Students also need to understand the deep meaning of every word, and must pay attention to the analysis on the statement, make clear the r

26、elationship between words and phrases, sentences and sentence. To master the basic grammar is an important mean to help student understand the text. It is a curriculum objective to enable students to learn how to use intensive reading by using syntax analysis, and the linking between sentence by sen

34、ood at using the appropriate methods to stimulate students interest in reading. For example, some articles include the author, the background, and the important people, events, scene of the text. If teacher can combine them together, you can stimulate students interest in Intensive Reading. The teac

35、her should pay attention to establish circumstances, enable students to read, think, look and discuss in the context. Form doing this, students can participate in this intensive reading text out of their interest, and they will read the text with the problem. In learning, teacher should lead the stu

36、dents appreciate the refined language of the article, understand the authors thoughts and feelings of the article, and be attracted by vivid narration and description ,and students will be able to have fun in reading.2.2.
