1、MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDINGFOR ACADEMIC AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATIONBETWEENTHE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGANON BEHALF OF ITSCOLLEGE/SCHOOL/DEPARTMENTANDPARTNER INSTITUTIONPurposeThe purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to promote cooperation in field education and scientific research
2、 between the Regents of the University of Michigan, a Michigan Constitutional corporation, on behalf of its College/School/Department, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States of America, and Partner Institution, located in City, State/Province, Country.Types of CooperationThrough this Memorand
3、um of Understanding, both parties affirm the value of international collaboration and agree to endeavor to promote the following activities: Joint research projects infields of mutual interests; Exchange ofacademic publications and reports; Sharing ofexperiences in innovative teaching methods and co
4、urse design; Organization ofjoint symposia, workshops, and conferences; Opportunities for faculty development and exchange; Opportunities for student exchange; and Opportunities for exchange of visiting research scholars.This Memorandum of Understanding places no financial obligations or supplementa
5、ry funding commitments on either party. Activities will be established and defined through separate written program agreements that detail the specific terms, conditions, and commitment of resources (financial or otherwise) required of each party.Terms of this Memorandum of UnderstandingThis Memoran
6、dum of Understanding will become effective upon the date of signature by both parties and shall remain valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of the last signature, with the understanding that it may be modified or extended by the written mutual consent of both parties. Either party may
7、terminate this Memorandum of Understanding with advance written notice to the other of at least thirty (30) days.This Memorandum of Understanding is completed in English and _, with both versions being equally authentic; in the case of any discrepancy between the two versions, the English version sh
8、all prevail. This Memorandum of Understanding is hereby signed in two (2) copies in each language with one (1) copy in each language remaining in the possession of each party.
