2、等引导。,when引导的从句的谓语动词可以是延续性的动词，又可以是瞬时动词。她进来时，我停止吃饭。I stopped eating when he came in.(瞬时动词)当我住在农村时，我常常为他挑水。When I lived in the countryside，I used to carry some water for him.(延续性的动词),1.when，while和as的区别：,【名师点津】when有时表示“就在那时”，这时为并列连词。be about to do.when./be doing.when.We were about to leave when he came
3、in.他进来的时候我们刚要离开。I was painting when he rushed in yesterday.昨天我正在画画时他闯了进来。,hardly/scarcelywhen.一就The baby had hardly cried when he saw his mother.这个孩子一看见妈妈就哭了。【归纳拓展】no soonerthan.;as soon as，immediately,directly,instantly,the moment,the minute,the instant都表示“一就”。,【易错提醒】在hardly/scarcelywhen和no soonert
4、han句型中when和than引导的从句不能放在主句之前。hardly/scarcely 及no sooner如置于句首，句子要倒装。I had hardly opened the door when he rushed out.=Hardly had I opened the door when he rushed out.我一打开门，他就冲出去了。,=No sooner had I open the door than he rushed out.,while引导 的从句的谓语动作必须是延续性的，并强调主句和从句的动作同时发生(或者相对应)。While my wife was readin
5、g the newspaper，I was watching TV.妻子读报时,我正在看电视。,(was reading是延续性的动作，was reading和was watching同时发生)【点津】while有时还可以表示对比，此时为并列连词。I like playing football while you like playing basketball.我喜欢踢足球，而你喜欢打篮球。(对比),as表示“一边一边”，as引导的动作是延续性的动作，一般用于主句和从句动作同时发生的情形。We always sing as we walk.我们总是边走边唱。,2.before 在之前乘客们应该
