As we know, Reading is (theory) , therefore, I will follow the interactive principle and adopt three stage model in this reading period. The three stages are pre-reading, wh
3、ile-reading and post-reading. In order to help my students to fully understand the whole passage, I will use Multimedia devices and PPT documents as my teaching aids. According to the analysis of the teaching material, the learning condition, the requirement of level 6 in the new curriculum and the
4、theory of teaching reading, the following learning objectives are to be achieved in the period. In order to achieve the learning objectives, several activities are designed for the three stages. The teaching procedure is as followed: In pre-reading stage, I designed two activities, activity one is t
5、o arouse the students interest in and to activate students old knowledge and add something relevant. Activity 2 is predicting. Both activities aim to get students mentally prepared for the reading comprehension. In While-reading stage, I designed fast reading activities to develop the students readi
6、ng skills of skimming for general idea of the passage and scanning for detail information. As for close reading, I design various kinds of comprehending activities as T / F questions for paragraph 1 to ; note taking for para 2 to ; wh-questions for para 3 to .
