Chinese parents firmly believe that all they did is best for their children so they override all of their childrens own desires and preferences. They try to respect their childrens individuality, encourage them to pursue their true passions, support their own choices. They provide positive reinforcement and nurturing environment to their children and they believe their children have self-reflection and self-education ability so that children should work and live on their selves.
