2、West really distinguish each other a lot. This is because the culture systems are two separate systems on the whole. The origin of the eastern culture is mainly from two countries: China and India. Both of the two cultures are gestated by rivers. In China, the mother river is the Yellow River while
3、the Indian one is the Hindu River. These two cultures were developed for several thousand years and formed their own styles. When the two mother rivers gave birth to the eastern culture, another famous culture was brought up on the Mesopotamian Plain - the Mesopotamian Civilization. This civilizatio
4、n later on developed into the cultures of the Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. And these two are well-known as the base of the European culture. I learnt a story from the reading course, the author was an American, he was talking with his friend on the doorstep of a converted carriage while a Prussi
5、an artist talked with his friends fifty to sixty feet away in the studio. Actually,the author didnt want to interrupt their conversation. But the German pushed my friend aside and shouted at the author. He didnt know what happened. Until he learnt the culture of German, he knew that in the German,th
6、eres no suck thing as being inside the room,without being inside the zone of intrusion,no matter how far away. So the culture shock is between east and west. Now the problem is can we live in two cultures? The answer is Yes. Even though culture clash is everywhere around us, we can avoid it and make
7、 use of it. As we all know, the global is a village,we should do in Roma as Roma does. If we meet with the foreigners,we can learn some their cultures,it shows our respect to them. If everyone can do this ,our society will be more harmonious. Different backgrounds lead to the different cultures,and of course we can live in two cultures, just be an observant and conscientious person.
