1、energy crisisReport The world is facing an energy crisis and so is China.There is nothing unusual about energy like coals and oils being consumed, principally because economic development depends on natural resources all the time. but what is happening today is extraordinary judged by the standards
2、of the past. it is energy depletion on a massive scale and this problem is so knotty that should deserve our closer heed. Amongst the diverse factors contributing to the energy crises around the world, governments short-sighted policies and citizens extravagant use of automobiles are probably the tw
3、o most significant ones. by presuming on their natural resources, quite a few countries, especially developing ones, are eager to develop their economy in order to gain an edge over their rivals. admittedly, their intensive use of the energy facilitates, to some extent, the developments of other ind
4、ustries in short term. additionally, the amount of private cars increases at such a breakneck speed that the petroleum used amounts to an intimidating proportion of the natural resources. The consequences are undoubtedly disastrous for human beings. although countries can boast their growth of gdp,
5、their citizens have to endure the ever deteriorated environment with stinking gas belching from factories and vehicles, polluted water due to fuels infiltrating underground, even ultraviolet radiation in the absence of ozone layer and, therefore, their quality of life is by no means improved. also,
6、sustainable development can never come into true in this situation, meaning that our descendants can benefit nothing except sterile land and polluted air and water from their ancestors. Terefore, our government must take serious steps to attack those problems. the first and foremost is that governme
7、nts have to reverse their mindset and no longer deem the growth of gdp their first goal. rather, the betterment of citizens quality of life should deserve more attention than the economic growth. furthermore, the use of private cars should be discouraged by authorities, who must shoulder the respons
8、ibility of improving public transportation in order to facilitate people as well as release the burden of energy consumption. With the development of the technology, the energy plays an important role in our life, because high-tech cant live without energy. As we all known, the most of the energy in
9、 the world such as petroleum, natural gas is non-renewable. The world is facing an energy crisis, and so is China. The economy in China is increasing at a rapid speed, and its demand for energy is large. Therefore I recommend solar energy to you. Solar energy is one of the largest energy sources in
10、the world and it is consider renewable. Also the solar energy is clean and it wont have an impact on the environment. It is known to us all that the environment problem is more severe than before, and it is now paying more attention. Every country wants to develop the clean energy as quick as possib
11、le, so the solar energy should be your first choice. On the same time, solar energy is safe to be used, and having compared to the nuclear power, it is less dangerous. Few months before, the earthquake in Japan was destructive, and the nuclear station was destroyed which had caused many serious prob
12、lems. Not only the environment near the nuclear station is polluted, but also the fishes. The economy of Japan took a beat. Hence the safety of the energy is very important. So I conclude that the solar energy has 3 advantages: clear, safe, and boundless, and there is no other energy can be competed
13、 with solar energy. I have thought that Guangdong Province is an ideal province to develop solar energy. Because it is always sunny in Guangdong, and the traffic is very convenient. Also the most important thing is the price of the land in the suburb is very cheap. As we all known, solar energy defi
14、nitely needs the sunlight, so the location should be a place where the sunlight is bountiful. Simultaneously, the solar power energy plant must cover a large area, therefore it needs a large number of to build it. According to the recent price of land, suburb is considered relatively cheaper than ot
15、her zones. Traffic is also an important factor, because it can transport things in a fast speed. It is said that time is the money, so the convenient traffic is the key to it. The solar power energy plant will be constructed in the suburb due to the convenient traffic. And it will take about one yea
16、r to construct such project, after it begins to work, it will save the energy for one thirds. I think it provides many advantages to the development of the economy. With the new energy be used, the environment in Guangdong will be improved. After my brief introduction to my solar energy power plant project, I sincerely hope that you can accept it and I promise it is worth making that decision.
