Some linguists hold the idea that the priority of English learning is to gain the communica
2、tion ability, mainly stressing the meaning of the language but the form. So language should serve to communication. And they think its proper when the leaners make grammar errors when they communicate with others. However not all people agree with that. Take the famous linguist Widdowson for example
3、, he stressed the importance of the grammar learning and said “you cant express yourself without the vocabulary. But if you dont learn grammar, your words are just like the non-bone chickens.” So next Ill show the necessary of grammar and make comment on the thoughts which regardless the grammar lea

And it manages the vocabularys arrangement, just as the rule to social management. Providing, there is no rule in social, we
8、can easily imagine how chaotic the world would be. At the same time, there are several sentence patterns which can express some special mood. When we want require somebody not do something euphemistically, we may say “you would not smoke here, will you?” its polite. But if you just say “no smoking”,
9、 it sounds aggressive and spur others anger easily. Grammar has positive guidance to the grammar knowledge. Mastering and applying grammar have a great effect on getting speech ability. Once we can master grammar flexibly, we can understand the phenomenon of language 1/3 and make our ideas well deli
10、vered. So we can use the right sentence to communicate and read fast with efficiency. It is a rule to require us how to express oneself with these scattered words. It makes us easy to understand and to be understood for it narrows down the meanings of the same vocabularies. In the language teaching

Take the situational language teaching for example, it emphasizes the following points (that concerns about grammar): Speech is regarded as the basis of language and structure was viewed as being at the heart of s

But when they lived there, they can speak English better than some college students. In fact, they can speak Englis
16、h fluently and correctly, but they cant talk about culture or science with others for they just mastered some simple structure of language, which is adequate to daily life. But to be a member of the new generation, we must be advanced in every aspect of science and literature, which needs English to

The following is an approach to learn grammar: 1, Make a plan 2, Try to identify common mistakes. Find out what grammar points are often difficult for speakers
21、 of your native language. Pay extra attention to learning those grammar points. 3, Find some grammar exercise. Focus on just one grammar point each time you study. 4, you should pay more attention to grammar when you read English. 5, Translate from your native language into English. 6, Ask native sp
22、eakers for advice. All in all, English grammar is essential to English learning. We may not learn English grammar deliberately in our daily life. But to read its literature or in order to benefit from the mental discipline and intellectual and intellectual development, we should study grammar and use it flexible.
