2、re, struggling to get on the buses, pedaling bicycles like mad, or pushing and shoving all the way to get to work on time. Then there is the noise. Wherever you are, the sharp honking of vehicles pierces your cars. People living in the city are constantly exposed to the hustle and bustle of urban li

3、fe. You simply cannot avoid it. But the most intolerable thing is the polluted air. All day you breathe in traffic fumes and poisonous chemical particles. You are paying dearly for the “privilege” of living in a modern city. However, you dont have all these things in the country. Here there are not

4、so many people to jostle each other. You are close to nature. The air is fresh and the sun shines on you warmly. Instead of noise, you hear the singing of birds and the gurgling of streams, which makes you relaxed and happy. As for recreation, you have the vast fields on which to play golf or roam.

5、At home you may have a television to watch, or a computer to surf the Internet. Life in the country is so quiet and cozy. This is just what I want. On a Harmonious Dormitory Life Dormitory life is an indispensable part of college life. But sometimes the harmony in the dormitory will be disturbed in

6、one way or another. For example, some members listen to music late into the night and make those light sleepers restless. Worse still, the smell of some students socks is powerful enough to drive other members out of the room. As is known to all, a harmonious dormitory life is important to college s

10、iversities students rating has even become the only source of information on teaching effectiveness. This, however, has caused great controversy. Some are in favor of the rating system. They hold that since students attend the teachers classes everyday, they should have their opinion about their tea

11、chers effectiveness. Others, on the contrary, are strongly against it. They believe that there is much more to teaching than what is shown on students rating forms. Students should not be expected to judge whether the materials used are up to date or how well the teacher knows about the subject. The

I think students rating of their teachers is necessary, but it should be conducted in a way that can really shed meaningful light on teachers performance.
