2、e needed as long as they are capable. This is a cheering figure as the older generations always complain that the younger generation are less helpful compared to them. As a young person, I agree that young people are more likely to help others than those in the past. First, the developed technology
3、gives us the access to more channels of giving aids. For one thing, the invention of modern transportation tools enables passionate people to travel globally, thus spreading love and care to the needy people all over the world. Take my sister Elly as an example, she gave up her decent job in the US
4、and taught English in a poor village in Thailand. This practice of young people was very few decades ago due to the limitation of transport though I believe the young people in that time might have the same willingness. For another thing, Internet simplifies the procedure of many things, which also
5、increases the possibility for the young, the major users of the Internet, to help others. For example, by few clicks, we can now send donations via PayPal without leaving home. However, decades ago, if someone wanted to give money to a person in another city, he had to travel a few days to deliver t
6、he cash or at least he had to walk to the bank or the post office to make the transaction, which was not convenient and thus less people would make a donation cross city in the past. In addition, the prevailing education today teaches young people good virtues. In most countries, moral education is
7、the major part in the primary and high schools to foster students spiritual value. Teachers have the responsibility to encourage children to help each other since early ages as this is the basis of decent behavior. Therefore, when growing up, they have gradually formed a concept that they should alw
8、ays think about others and provide necessary assistances if possible. Nevertheless, the educational level and overall population quality in the past was undoubtedly lower than todays. Therefore, it is understandable that todays young adults are more helpful. To illustrate a very tiny case, 20 years
9、ago, young passengers rushed on a bus and grabbed a seat was a normal scene, but I can hardly see this happens today as young people are more considerate, giving seats to the old, children, pregnant women and the sick. As a result, it is the universal education that increases the number of well-behavior and decent young people. To sum up, no one can deny that the majority young people in the past were helpful, yet, compared to the group today, I take the view that they had less opportunities to offer helps to more needy people as the limitation of technology and educational background.
