1、如何使用 another如何使用 another, other, others,the others 和the other 一、another可作形容词又可作代词，意为“另外、另一个”，主要指三个或三个以上的“另一个”，可以单独使用。作定语时，修饰可数名词单数，其前不加冠词，如： 1.Will you have another cup of tea?你再唱一杯茶吗？ 2.I dont like this hat, please show me another.我不喜欢这顶帽子，请另外拿一顶给我看。 another的所有格为anothers。与another 有关的短语有：one another
2、相互， one . . .after another 一个接一个，from one . . . to another从一个到另一个。 二、other可作形容词和代词，意为“另外的、别的”。 三、表示两个中的“另一个”时与the连用。可单独使用，也可用the other +可数名词单数。 1.The post office is on the other side of the street. 邮电局在街的另一边。 2.I have two sisters, one is a teacher, the other is a worker. 我有两个姐姐，一个是教师，另一个是工人。 四、指特定范围
3、的“其它的”时，用the others或五、the other+名词复数。 如： 1.Where are the other boys of our class? 其余的人在哪儿？ 2.Where are the other boys of our class? 我们班其余的男生在哪里？ 六、无特定范围的“其它的”即泛指时，用others或+other复数名词。 I dont like these, do you have any others?我不喜欢这些，你还有别的吗？ Give me two other .给我两本其它的书。 Some are digging, some are plan
4、ting, others are watering一些在挖土，一些在栽树，另一些在浇水。 七、Other的所有格为 others 。与other有关的短语有：the other day，every other day每隔一天，one ofter the other，on the other hand另一方面，one . . .the others一个其余的，some. . .others一些其余的。 一、other意思是“其他的、别的、另外的”，可以做形容词用，在句子中作定语。 在一般情况下，other常常修饰复数可数名词，如果修饰单数名词，就要用another或the other .只有在其
5、他词辅助下，other才能修饰单数可数名词，如： (1)I dont know if other students will be interested in this story . (2)Ill come some other day . (我改日来) Herry is taller than any other member in his family . 注意：other作形容词，放在所修饰的名词之前。 We study Chinese , maths , English and some other subjects . 我们学习语文、数学、英语和其他几门学科。 Whats that

Please give him another(one)。 (2)I can see another ship in the picture . 三、the other意思是“另一个”。常与one搭配构成“onethe o

(2)He had a book in one hand , and a ball in the other . 四、others意思是“其他的人或物，”作代词用泛指“另外的人或物”。 常与some搭配构成“someothers”句型。例如： (1)Some students like painting , other like music . (2)This is too large . Show me some others ,
8、 please . (3)Dont lend it to others . 五、the others意思是表示特指某范围内的“其他的人或物”。如： (1)A few of those in white are doctors , the others are nurses . (2)We got home by 5 oclock , but the others didnt get back until 7 oclock . 注意： 六、在用这些不定代词时，another和the other , others和the others之间的关系不能混淆。 another一般是指余下的人或物中的任何一个。而the other是指两个人或物中余下的那个。others指除去某些人或物后余下的另外一些人或物，而the others指除去某些人或物后余下的所有其他一些人或物。另外，这些不定代词还与其他一些词有搭配关系，如any other(任何其他的)，every other(每隔)，the other day(几天前)，the other night(不久前的某晚)，someothers(一些另一些)，somethe others(一些其余的)，each other(one another互相)one or other(或者这个，或者那个)，some or other(某一)等。
