1、年级英语上册Imgoingtostudycomputerscience说课稿Lesson Plan Interpretation 魏县二中 郭之兰 Good afternoon everyone. Its my great honor and pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The lesson plan Im going to talk about is from Go for it Students Book Unit 6 Im going to study computer science. Ill explain how
2、to teach and why to do so from the following 4 aspects. 、Understanding of the teaching material 1. Status and function The theme of Unit 6 is about life goals. Ss are familiar with and interested in this topic. In this period, I will teach the key vocabulary about jobs firstly and then the target la
3、nguage with various activities. By studying of this part, well enable students to express future goals and improve their integrated skills .The target language is the basic contents of this unit. So its very important to learn this lesson well. 2. Teaching aims and demands: a) Knowledge objectives F
4、irst, Ss should master and use the key words and phrases properly, such as pilot, computer programmer, pianistThey should know how to use “What do you want to be when you grow up?” to ask others and also should know to use the new learnt structure “I want to be a/anwhen I grow up.”, “I am going to ”
5、to explain their goals. b) Ability objectives Second, Ss are the real master of the class. I will give their more chance to speak out by pair woks and group works. In this way, I can improve students ability of cooperating with others. Ability of listening is also the point Id like to emphasize on.
6、Based on exercise, they will listen to a piece of material. The ability of making a small conversation is also an importance part I want to improve. c) Moral objectives Third it is the most important thing that make the resolutions to achieve their goals. They should have a clear understanding of th
7、e significance of studying hard. 3. Teaching important/ difficult points 1 Now I talk about the important points, the important points of this lesson are words and the usage of “I want to be a/an”“I am going to ”to express goals. 、Analysis of the students The students have learnt English for more th
8、an one year. They know some English, but most of them are afraid to speak English. For this lesson , the Ss have known the pattern “will be”. But they dont know to use “be going to as future. Most students have mastered the simple jobs, such as teacher, doctorbut they dont know the relative difficul
9、t words like computer programmer, pilot So this is what I teach in this period. III、Teaching methods and studying ways 1. Teaching methods Next I will focus on the teaching methods. As we all know, the main aims of learning English in the middle school is to cultivate students integrated skills and
10、their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use the Communicative Approach and Task-based Language Teaching as the main teaching methods. That is to say, Ill let the Ss get a better understanding of the target language. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange 4 kinds of act
11、ivities: making up conversations, listening practice, group and pair work activities, making a small survey and report. I will use PPT as my teaching aids. 2Studying ways As for the studying ways, students will learn through speaking out and communicating and cooperating with their partners. They al
12、so should pay attention to the key information in listening practice. IV、Teaching procedure Here comes the most important part, my teaching procedure, it includes 5 steps. Step 1 Greeting and Lead-in 1 .It will cost 1min. I will talk with them about some simple communication language every time I me
13、et them. Let them enter into the English environment as soon as possible 2. Go over some words of jobs It will cost 3 mins. I will ask: What do I do? All the Ss can answer you are a teacher. Then I will act other jobs and let the Ss guess the job titles. 2 Purpose of my design: to review the simple
14、jobs learnt，which is the basic of this lesson. Step 2 New words learning and drill It costs 15mins. In this part, I use PPT to introduce the words and then teach the new structure. As is known to all, middle students should learn English step by step. Before they learn the new structure, students ar
15、e asked to master the new vocabulary. It is important to pay all the attention to learn new words. Task 1 Teach new words of jobs using “What does he/she do” I will show the first picture and ask: Who is he? What does he do? Ss can guess according to the picture. He is Li yundi. He is a pianist. Tea
16、ch them how to say “Gang Qinjia”in English . Read after me by different way, such as Group A, Group B, boys, girls. The next 4 pictures of pilot, computer programmer I use the same way to teach. Task 2 Practice and consolidate Group competition. Ss work in groups of four to learn the words with the
17、word cards. Use any ways to familiar the words as fast as possible(one does action, the other guesses or one say English ,the other say Chinese) Using a game challenge your eyes to check how many words they have familiar with Purpose of my design: proper competition can arouse the Ss interest in Eng
18、lish learning and encourage them to memory the new word .Working in pairs improve their ability to cooperate with others. Step 3 Practice It costs 10 mins. Ask Ss to finish the exercise 1b 1aon textbook. Step 4 Tasks Task 1 Present the new structure Say: Boys and girls, there are many kinds of jobs
19、in the world. Whats your dream job? Do you know how to ask? Then I will present the new structure in the PPT, and highlight the new expression “I want to be a/anwhen I grow up.” “be going to ”by red print. I explain the meaning in details and the meaning of “grow up”. Read the sentence together. Tas
20、k 2 Class work: quick quiz. Ask the Ss to look at the screen and read after me : What are you going to be when you grow up? Im going to be a / an. when I grow up. Set up a situation “Dream 3 Theatre”, teacher act as the reporter to interview the Ss. They should use the words we learnt today to answe
21、r this question. Purpose of my design: to provide guided oral practice using the target language. With the new expression in mind, students can tell their life goal in a right way. Task 3 Pair work: practice and consolidate the new structure in pairs Ask Ss to make a small conversation with partners
22、. They work in pairs. 2 mins later, I will ask some of the students to show their ideas. Purpose of my design: to encourage students to speak out and also allow them to understand others better. I plant the idea in their mind that students should share their view with their friends and classmates. Step 4 Summary and Homework 1. Be going to do 2. Some new words. 3. Finish hw book to P74. 4
