3、力”和在机械专业表示“动力”的power，数学上表示“幂”，在电力专业领域可以仍作为名词，表示“电力、功率、电能”；也可以作为动词，表示“供以电能”。 在日常英语中表示“植物”的plant，在电力专业领域中用来表示“电厂”等。 2.由日常英语词汇或其他学科的专业词汇，直接合成新的词汇。 例如：over和head组合成overhead，表示“架空”；super和conductor合成superconductor，表示“超导体”等。 3.由基本词根和前缀或后缀组成新的词汇。大部分专业词汇属于这种情况。一般来说，加前缀改变词义，加后缀改变词性。 例如：词根 develop vt. 发达，发展，开发
