It contains requirements from the Fourth Edition of UL486D and has been harmonized with the requirements from Canada and Mexico.The new requirements are substantially in accordance with ULs Proposal(s) on this subject dated April22, 2005 and S

3、eptember 2, 2005.As indicated on the title page (page 1), this UL Standard for Safety is an American National Standard. Attention is directed to the note on the title page of this Standard outlining the procedures to be followed to retain the approved text of this ANSI/UL Standard.The UL Foreword is

It is the second edition of NMX-J-519-ANCE, the second editi

35、on of CSA C22.2 No. 198.2, and the fifth edition of UL 486D. This edition of CSA C22.2 No. 198.2 supersedes the previous edition published in 1986 under the title Underground Cable Splicing Kits. This edition of UL 486D supersedes the previous edition published in1982, 1986, 1993, and 1997 under the

36、 title Insulated Wire Connector Systems for Underground Use or inDamp or Wet Locations.This common standard was prepared by the Association of Standardization and Certification (ANCE), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). The efforts and support of the T

37、echnical Harmonization Committee for Connectors, of the Council on the Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standards of the Nations of the Americas (CANENA), are gratefully acknowledged.This standard was reviewed by the CSA Subcommittee on C22.2 No. 198.2, under the jurisdiction of the CSA Technical C
