1、冠词是虚词不能单独使用，他用在名词前，帮助指明名词的含义。1、不定冠词：a,an2、定冠词：the3、零冠词：,冠 词,1、a(an)用于单数可数名词前,an用于以元音音标开头的单词前。如：a book;an apple,不定冠词的用法,2、具有“一个”的意思。意为one，指人或物。如：I ate a banana.It is a cold day.,说话人不是在指“这个香蕉”或”那个香蕉“，只是说吃了一个香蕉。,4.词组或成语,a little,a few,a bit,a bit of,a lot of,a great many,in a hurry,after a while,have a
2、 cold,have a try,3.与序数词连用，表示又一个,再一次如：He asked me a second time 他又问了我一次,a用于辅音前；an用于元音前。一般说来，元音字母发元音，辅音字母发辅音，但需请注意以下3点：拼写以辅音字母开头,读音却以元音开头的单词 hour,honest,honor等单词的拼写虽然以辅音字母h开头，但其读音却以元音开头，因此，前面要用an。可熟记下面这句话：An hour ago,an honest man accepted an honorable task.(一小时前，一位诚实的人接受了一项光荣的任务。),2.拼写以元音字母开头,读音却以辅音开
3、头的单词 useful,university,usual,European,united,one-eyed,one-way等单词的拼写虽然以元音字母开头，但其读音却以辅音开头，因此，前面要用a。可熟记下面这句话：In a university,a European and a one-eyed man walk along a one-way road with a usual tool.This is a usual thing.(在一所大学里，有一个欧洲人和一个独眼龙拿着有用的工具沿着一条单行道行走，这是件平常的事。),Five years ago her brother was _ un

6、 than the old.,5.用于乐器名称前。如：play the piano/the violin（小提琴）/the guitar,6.用在某些由普通名词构成的国名名称，机关团体，阶级等专有名词前如：the united states,(the)USA是国家的全名，所以之前要加the。比如China全名是PRC，也是要加the(如The Peoples Republic of China），法国全名the Republic of France，俄罗斯全名the Russian Federation.所以其实正式国名前面基本上每个都要加the的。有时候美国写成America，就不用加the
7、了。,7.用于序数词或形容词最高级前如：In the twentieth century the best8.用在姓氏的复数名词之前，表示一家人如：the Greens 格林一家,注：使用单数可数名词一定要加：1、a/an/the或 2、this/that或 3、his等物主代词。,如：I drove a car.I drove the car.I drove that car.I drove his car.,1、复数可数名词前不加冠词，表示类别如：Horses are useful animals.There are pencils,pens and books on the desk.,
8、零冠词的用法,2、三餐、球类运动、棋类游戏前不加冠词如：have lunch,have supper,have breakfast play football,play basketball play chess（下棋）,play bridge（打桥牌）,3、物质名词或抽象名词前不加冠词如：Can man live without air?Failure is the mother of success.,5.在季节，月份，节日，假日，日期，星期等表示时间的名词前不加冠词如：we go to school from Monday to Friday.,4.表示称呼.头衔.职位的名词前不加冠词如
