2、stan.,Kanas Lake is a lake in Altay Prefecture（阿勒泰地区）,Xinjiang,China.The lake is located in a valley in the Altai Mountains（阿尔泰山）,near the very northern tip of Xinjiang,and the provinces borders with Kazakhstan（哈萨克斯坦）,Mongolia,and Russia.It is Chinas deepest freshwater lake.The Kanas River,flowing o
3、ut of the lake,later merges with（汇入）other stream to form the Burqin River（布尔津河）,which in its turn falls into the Irtysh（额尔齐斯河）in Burqin County.There is a large population of Tuvans（图瓦人）in the area.About 117 different kinds of birds live along the lake.There have been sightings of large lake creature
