16、我们倒脏水了！”说完，将那个大洗盆儿拿出来，从大水缸里舀出一些水来倒进洗盆儿晒着。在这个不大不小的院子里，只有东南角茅房的边上有一棵不太高的栾树。所以，尽管此时已经日头西斜了，但院子里暖洋洋的光线依然还很亮堂呢。不一会儿，耿直在厨房里喊：“呵，水又开了！”耿正说：“英子，你先洗吧，我这就往浴桶里兑桶开水去！”耿英答应着，“咕咚咕咚”喝下去一碗已经晾温了的开水，然后找出一套干净衣服，拿了进洗浴室去了。耿正再往大锅里添一些水，耿直继续拉风箱烧着。耿正把自己和弟弟的换洗衣裳拿出来放在床边，过厨房来对弟弟说：“小直子，那浴桶大得很，待会儿咱俩一起洗吧，正好相互搓搓背！”俩人也都慢慢地喝一碗已经晾温了的
17、开水，说着闲话。当大锅里的水再次烧开了的时候，耿英穿戴整齐出来了，对哥哥说：“我已经放了水。你再冲洗冲洗吧！”耿正答应着，打一桶井水上来，提着进了洗浴室。耿英站在厨房门口问弟弟：“小直子，你俩谁先洗啊？”耿直站起来，用立在一旁的挡火板挡了灶火口，说：“哥哥说了，我们俩一起洗，要相互搓背呢！”耿正和耿直各拿一块大浴巾去洗澡了。耿英开始收拾兄妹三人换下来的衣服，准备先把哥哥和弟弟的衣服泡上。耿英有个习惯，泡水之前总要翻一翻衣服上的每一个口袋，唯恐把有用的单据什么的给泡坏了。翻遍了弟弟的衣服口袋，并没有发现什么，就一抬手扔到了放在门口的大洗盆儿里。但当她翻哥哥的衬衣口袋时，一下子就发现了秀儿送的那块丝绸手帕！原来，耿正那天一时大意，忘记了把手帕拿出来放进那件准备换穿的干净衬衣口袋里了。看着这块被汗液渍黄了的双燕丝绸手帕，耿英心里非常明白，她一定是那年的八月十五夜里秀儿姐姐送给哥哥的！看着手帕上绣的那一对双飞的燕子和汗液渍黄了的手帕底色，耿英的眼眶发热，鼻子发酸。那一对燕子是双双飞翔的，但秀儿姐姐却只能在遥远的老家苦苦地思念哥哥，而哥哥也只能将这块手帕时刻贴身带在身上，以寄托对秀儿姐姐的无限思念由秀儿姐姐再联想到自己心爱大壮，耿英忘记了时间突然，厅房外一声欢快的喊叫：“姐姐，我们洗完了！啊，真舒,
