1、翻译适应选择论视角下的译者主体性研究 翻译适应选择论视角下的译者主体性研究 A Study of Translators Subjectivity from the Theory of Translation as Adaptation and Selection 【摘要】 作为一篇研究译者主体性的论文,本文以胡庚申教授的翻译适应选择论为理论框架,回顾了译者和译者的主体性研究在中西方的发展历史,并以译者的主体性适应和主体性选择为主线,创造性地将整个翻译过程分为三个阶段,即前翻译过程(pre-translating process)、翻译过程(translating process)和后翻译过程
2、(post-translating process)。通过对译者在整个翻译过程中所起到的作用进行的纵向剖析,可以得出结论,译者才是翻译过程的真正主体,在翻译过程中具有中心地位和主导作用,译者的行为制约着翻译作品的质量,同时,作为译者,也应清醒地意识到自己的主体地位,并应该努力将本来多在潜意识中进行的主体性适应和选择更多地转化为自觉性的,从而大大提高翻译作品的质量。在进行理论研究的同时,本篇论文在翻译适应选择论的框架内,对著名翻译家张培基的翻译实践作出了系统性的研究。张培基教授是极少数从事汉籍英译的翻译家中极具代表性的一位,作者认为其代表作英译中国现代散文选将译者在翻译过程中的主体性适应和选择体
3、现的淋漓尽致。因此,作者选取了书中具有代表性的散文译本,分析了张教授在其中所起到的主体性作用,从而支撑了本文的论点和研究。【Abstract】 With studying the translators subjectivity as its main aim, the present thesis takes Professor Hu Gengshens Translation as Adaptation and Selection as its theoretical framework, and translators subjective adaptation and selectio
4、n as its main line, and reviews the studies on translator and translators subjectivity both in China and the western countries and then creatively divides translation into 3 processes, namely, the pre-translating process, translating process and post-translating process. Thus with a longitudinal ana
5、lysis of the translators role in the whole translating process, a conclusion can be drawn that the only subject in translation is the translator, who plays a central role in it and dominates the whole process and his or her activities constrain the quality of the translation work. Meanwhile, the tra
6、nslator should be in sober awareness of his or her role as the subject, and make every effort to transmit the subjective adaptation and translation, which is mostly done subconsciously, into an act more of a conscious one. In this way, the quality of the translation work can be considerably promoted
7、.While giving a theoretical study, the present thesis also carries out a systematic study on the famous translator, Professor Zhang Peijis translation work in the framework of Professor Hus theory. Zhang is a most representative one among the few translators in China who are engaged in the translati
8、on of famous Chinese books into English and the author considers his translation of Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings a book which manifests the translators subjective adaptation and selection vividly and incisively. Hence the author selects some of the translated prose and analyzes the subject
