5、iness English courses, especially, to the undergraduates at university from a rather micro-viewpoint. Throughout this paper, by comparison with the General English teaching, Business English teaching is supposed to stand out of the old educational stereotype in terms of ways of course design, arrang
6、ement of course itinerary, models of class constitution and demands for teachers. Further more details will be elaborated in the following discussions on whether it is possible or practical to cancel the final forms of paper examination, but to end with an academic paper of high quality, which is su
7、pposed to be based on the students real social experience. Then, the instructors roles, together with the skills of class lecturing, will definitely have new manifestations. All of the components in the process of Business English teaching are expected to share one converging point that is to motiva
8、te the learning interest of students and to enhance the efficiency of Business English class lecturing. 9、育大学阶段的本科生之商务英语方向(此处注明不是专业)教学情况,本论文从微观角度出发,就如何改善和提高商务英语方向教学质量,提出创新性商务英语教育教学意见和建议。综而观之,通过与普通大学英语(包括范英语专业)教育教学的对比,商务英语方向教育教学不管是在课程设计、授课方案日程安排、对教师的期望,甚至是教室座次安置方面都应独树一帜, 进而摆脱中国传统教育被动模式(或者“填鸭式”)的影响, 接下来的讨论中将涉及有关商务英语方向课程结课方式能不能、或者有没有可能取消传统的应试考试,而代之以在此课程开课以先就告知学生结业的方式是在学生自己亲身与所修方向相关的社会实践的基础上,本着严格正规的论文写作标准和要

13、er own dream. She stresses the virtues of self-reliance and perseverance in a world of adversity. Her refusing to be calloused by her hard life and the perseverance in pursuing independence, and equality makes her in a sense a prototype of champions for womens rights. Perhaps this is the most social
14、ly sensitive issue in this novel. In a parallel to Charlotte Brontes own life, Jane struggles for minimal recognition even though her artistic, social and professional skills exceed those of most her antagonists. Due to the rebellion of the female and sexual relation, Jane Eyre is considered as a cl
15、assic describing the new image of women in that time. However, living in such a condition that men unify the whole world, Charlotte Bronte could not break away the traditional principles completely. The characteristic of rebellion and obedience constitutes the real Jane Eyre. This is the real ego of
16、 Charlotte Bronte. This is the unavoidable limitation of a woman in Victorian time, when the public stresses male-dominating system and regards women as second-class citizens. The opinion that female is just a foil of the male world is taken for granted, and it is legally and morally accepted that w
17、omen should obey and be faithful to men.2 Rebellion Vs ObedienceRebellion and obedience is opposite in meaning. However, they exist in Jane Eyres characteristic at the same time. On the one hand, there is rebellion against tradition in Charlottes portrayal of Jane Eyre. On the other hand, there is u
18、nconscious slavishness to patriarchal world.2.1 Rebellion against TraditionIn the traditional novels, women are always placed in a passive position in male-dominating world. They are in the position of being observed, oppressed, rescued and dominated by men. However, in Jane Eyre, the females positi
19、on has a revolutional change. As a typical work, which stands for a new image of women, Jane Eyre challenges the tradition roughly and harshly.2.1.1 First Person Narration The method of first person narration is used in Jane Eyre .From the very beginning when Jane Eyre is reading the impressive scen
20、e of Bewicks History of British Birdsin a chilly winter afternoon to the end when she enjoys the luxuriant prosperity in Ferndean,the reader always look with Janes eyes and feel with Janes feelings, following the world of her life. In this way, they can find out the personages behavior and psycholog
21、y accurately in time. Take an example, when Rochester leaves Thornfield, Jane feels at a loss. As Mrs. Fairfax receives a letter “from the master” “I went on taking my coffee (we were at breakfast): it was hot, and I attributed that circumstance a fiery glow which suddenly rose too my face.It makes
22、no surprise to write in first person narration today, because many novels were written in this method from the rise of novel, such as Samuel Richardsons Pamela and Clarissa and Rousseaus Julie ou La Nouvelle Heloise. But this falls on the women writers narrators of women, it is another matter.2.1.2
23、Gender Equality In the novel Jane Eyre, Jane Eyre strong feminist opinions in asking for gender equality are showed mainly through the events that she opposes the oppression from three men: John Read, Edward Fairfax Rochester and St. John Rivers. The following part aims to analyze these mens oppress
24、ion to Jane Eyre and how Jane objected to them. John Read, Janes cousin, always bullies Jane, but Mrs. Read turns blind eyes to it. From Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 the author describes that 14-year-old John maltreats Jane without any excuses. Even though Mrs. Read is partial to John, little Jane isnt me
25、ek but fights against him in her own way. “Wicked and cruel boy! You are like a murdererYou are like a slave-driverYou are like a Roman emperors!”(作者,出版时间:页码) She even fights against him when he kicks her, regardless of her own weakness. Although she seems to be defeated and punished at last, she sh
26、ows her distinguished characteristic of objecting to mens maltreatment deadly. It is Janes feminism that shows she is a feminist though she is only a little girl. She objects to mans oppression and is eager to be equally treated. Edward Fairfax Rochester, who is the hero in the novel. Similarly, he
27、also oppresses Jane. Their social position is far away, but Jane is neither humble nor pert but always looks on herself as equal to him. Once knowing he falls in love with her sincerely, she at once expresses bravely her passion and feeling which isnt done so easily at her time. When she misundersta
28、nds Rochester is going to marry Miss Ingram, she is determined to leave him. She makes a point - blank accusation “I tell you I must go! Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you? 29、gry but doesnt make do with it. She is determined to leave him again in order to keep her dignity and protect her rights, though she loves him so much. This shows that Jane pursues equal marriage. St. John Rivers is another man who oppresses Jane. He saves Jane and asks her to marry him for the sake
30、 of responsibility not love. St. John Rivers doesnt admit that a woman has her own right to choose her life at all. So Jane refuses his proposal of marriage. She is willing to be his assistant rather than his wife whom he doesnt love at all. So again Jane defends her dignity and deserves rights succ
31、essfully. She is a real feminist, not only in marriage, but also in other respects.2.1.3 Subversion of the Traditional Sexual Position In the early literature, women were always described as an image of being delicate and passive, they were those who need to be protected and saved by men. For exampl
32、e, the women in Hemingways novels dont have independent personality but only the seductive appearance and innocent soul. They form a female world that is a mere foil of the male world, a steel-willed mens shadow, such as Catherine in Farwell to Arms. However, in this novel, the weak and short Jane E
33、yre becomes the savor of the hero (Rochester) once and again. When Rochester and his horse slip on the sheet of ice, it is Jane who helps him. “He laid a heavy hand on my shoulder, and leaning on me with some stress, limped to his horse.”(作者,出版时间:页码) As Rochester was in deep sleep when his insane wi
34、fe (Bertha) attempts to burn him to death, it is again Jane who wakes him up and saves him. “Wake! Wake! 35、ster to be a crippled man, who is blind and loses an arm. It is also Jane who gives him her heartfelt love. 36、e Sleeping Beauty, the princess is sleeping and lying, and waiting for the prince to save her. It is the princes kiss of love that released the devil magic witchcraft. However, in this novel, it is Janes deep kiss of love that helps Rochester to get rid of a dark, dreary and hopeless life. The appea
37、rance of Rochester makes people think of an extinguishing lamp that is waiting for someones lighting. It is Jane who lights the lamp. When “she pressed her lips to his once brilliant and now rayless eyes”, he “suddenly seemed to arouse himself.”(作者,出版时间:页码) All the above embodies the potential wish
38、of feminist: men and women are equal, and it is all right to change their positions. It encourages the female to escape from the bound of maledominating system and pursue freedom, equality and independence. The new image is a try to challenge the reality that women are oppressed by men.2.1.4 Female:
39、 Domination of Her Own Love Throughout Jane Eyres life, she has always been looking for one thing, more than wealth or passionthat is love. She wants to love as well as be loved by others. As an adult, she finds it in two men: Rochester and St. John. She realizes that although both men have differen
40、t views of her and different reasons to marry her, they share the same motive: ultimately, to destroy her selfhood. They try to take advantage of her seeming defenselessness as a woman. Rochester represents attraction while St. John stands for moral and spiritual authority. Rochesters love for Jane
41、is not only spiritual, but also passionate. Although she feels the same way about him, she refuses to marry him because he just wants a love without marriage. So Jane chooses to leave so as to remain independence. On the other hand, St. Johns love for her is merely spiritual. He wants a marriage wit
42、hout marriage. For Jane, that is unacceptable. She chooses to uphold her view of marriage. Jane suffers heart-break for her attempt to marry her beloved Mr. Rochester when she chooses her own personal convictions over his desires and she also suffers an estrangement from her newly found cousin when
43、she chooses to uphold her view of marriage. Despite the pains her choices bring to her, Jane manages to maintain her independence by her free choices of the principles by which she wants to live.2.2 Unconscious Slavishness to Patriarchal WorldIn the process of portraying Jane Eyres rebelliousness, C
44、harlotte embodies some unconscious slavishness to patriarchal world. She makes Rochester as Janes fulcrum of life, she adopts double standards to measure sexual relation, and she creates unnatural coincidence to realize Janes dream about happy marriage.2.2.1 Rochester as Jane Eyres Fulcrum of Life R
45、ochester is a typical representative of patriarchal system. Jane Eyre rebels against him, however, she shows a lot of obedience to him, which embodies her unconscious slavishness to patriarchal world.Jane Eyre doesnt get rid of the special slavishness possessed by Victorian women. Though she claims

Whats more important, her attitude of being ready for serving and devoting to Rochester at any time embodies her slavishness. In that time, a
47、ll the moral principles require women to selfrestraint and selfsacrifice for men. At the beginning of Rochesters appearance, he becomes Janes fulcrum of life. She grieves for his grief, excites for his pleasure. She is likely to live or die only for him. Jane saves Rochester three times. At their fi
48、rst sight, Jane feels that it is her duty to help him, though Rochester is arrogant and impolite.2.2.2 Double Standards to Measure Sexual Relation In the 19th centurys Britain, the general rule in measuring sexual relation is that all of the degenerated women had to be punished while men were always forgiven, even they made the same blunder.
