When I was in Grade3 in preliminary school, one of my classmates, a girl of 11-year old was raped by her own cousi
2、n, a boy of 12-year old. At that time, its an explosive news in our school, even in the whole little town. The girl quit school for one year and she was not the once sunny girl anymore when I saw her again. She became silent and isolated. Maybe youll claim that, Its all due to that villain, its all
3、his fault! But, he was just a little boy at that time, and his only reply was that, Im just imitating what the TV shows.Im just very curious. From that story, we may realize that its a necessary to teach sex education in schools and we can gain a good many pragmatic benefits from it. Firstly, sex ed
4、ucation is a compensation for childrens lack of parental guidance and knowledge in that field. Most of us might have had such kind of experiences: in your adolescent years, youre curious about the gradual changes in your body and mind, wandering how did I come to the world? Why do I want to be toget
5、her with or alienated from the opposite sex?. Yes, lots of things you wanted to learn about, but you shuddered at the thought of inquiring your parents, for they might think youre mentally unhealthy. Almost all they concerned about is listen to what your teacher said, and put your heart on study and
6、 never think anything else. So, youre lose, feeling shameful, and your curiosity was oppressed and dangers were conceiving. With the sex education, children can learn further about the sexual knowledge in a more scientific way. It will do good to children to get through the adolescent period safely
7、and peacefully. Secondly, sex education will help reduce sexual transmitted diseases. Speak of them, we may think of AIDS, gonorrhea, syphilis, fig warts and so on. Lots of them are incurable now. Once people are infected, theyll suffer great miseries. So, if people know how to avoid unhealthy sexua
8、l life, if they are aware that its not a matter just concerning about themselves, but about their beloved ones, then, how can they be so indifferent to truth? With appropriate sex education, people will get to know the ruining results of some sexual diseases and also, theyll learn how to protect the
9、mselves from being hurt. Its crucial for our future marriage and our offspring. Thirdly, sex education will help cut down the criminal rate. According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, there are over 25 million people die of sexual crime each year, of which a quite big proportion is ado
10、lescent criminal. Most of them lacks sex education and ignorance leads to crime. So, if sex education begin earlier at school, such tragedies will to a large extent be deducted. By now, I want to say, sex education is not a thing to be felt shameful, to be reserved, to be limited; its a science. Its
11、 the instant need of social stability and modern civilization. We have been ideally fettered by some dated convention for too long. Its a time for us to face it scientifically and reasonably. Only by this way can we keep healthy, can we have a more comprehensive education system, can we finally reduce the tragedies like my classmate. Thank you! Reference:
