2、Yorkshire.When they were young,the Bronte sisters were sent to a school for clergymens daughters.The oldest two died there due to the poor and unhealthy conditions.This experience inspired the later portrayal of Lowood School in the novel Jane Eyre.After the death of the elder sisters,Charlotte and

3、Emily were brought home to be educated by their father.,For some time,they worked in a boarding school and were subsequently governesses in rich families.Charlotte&her two younger sisters had a great fondness for literature.In May 1846 appeared a volume of poetry entitled Poems by Currer,Ellis and A

4、cton Bell(the pseudonyms(笔名)of Charlotte,Emily and Anne),but received little attention and only two copies were sold.Then the three sisters turned to novel writing.,The picture of their house,Misfortunate Life,1848,Emily died a victim of tuberculosis(肺结核)1848,Branwell died of the inflammation of the

16、han her two elder sisters.She just lived for 29 years,and during the last ten years of her life,she was busy serving as a governess.Though teaching had taken much of her time,she still wrote two novels,Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall,which brought her great fame.She was the only one who w
