2、hanourselves.Variousperspectivesoftruthproclaimthequalityofnuminousexperience.TheonetruthIknowinmyintimaterelationshipandexplorationofboththeinherentdarknessandlightofthecreativeprocessisthis:everything,everythingthatisburiedresurfaces.Digjustbeneaththesomaofshatteredlifetorevealthebonesofexistencea

3、nddestiny.Myth,mythology,mythopocsis,anddepthpsychologyfleshoutthebonesofadepartedabsentcreativitywaitingimpatientlytobediscovered,re-imagined,loved,andregeneratedbackintoexistence.Thisprocessemploysanarchetypallensandlanguagethroughtheperspectivesofmythologyanddepthpsychologytoviewtherangeofthehigh

4、esttothemostterrifyingdepthofcreativity,sshadowintheindividualandcollectivepsycheasitexistsintheAtomicBombingofHiroshima,Japan.Theoftenignoredshadowaspectofcreativitywillbeexploredthroughthefollowingtemplates:descentintothecreativeprocess;ascent:survivingtheunderworldofthecreative;andregeneration:th

5、ereturntotheworldaboveorcurrentglobalculturaltimesbringingpatternsofrebirth.ThispaperconfrontsthedarkaspectsinallofusandthenecessaryjourneyWeallmusttaketoacknowledgeourownshadows.Untilwedo,athousandSeptember11lhswilloccurinathousanddifferentways.HiroshimaandSeptember11thcontainaspectsofthesamedynami

6、ctensionfoundinviolent,supposedlyredeemingacts.IfcollectivelywedonotproceedwithconsciousnessweriskinitiatingtheblindnessrerredtobyMahatmaGandhiwhenhesaid:uAneyeforaneyemakesthewholeworldblind.WhatIproposeisaparadigmshiftinconsciousnesswithregardtotherelationshipconnectingviolenceandcreativity.Ioffer

7、adifferentperspectiveonviolenceassubvertedcreativity.Thereisaninescapablelinkbetweenthecreativeandthedestructivemomentinhumanexperience.Atthemomentofchoicebetweenthetwo,eachofusstandsatthethresholdoftheunknown.Eachchoicewemakepropelsus,ourcommunitas,ourcollectiveuniversalpsyche,intohiddendimensionso

8、funconsciousrealitydesiringconsciousness.Theshiftofconsciousnessinthepsychearisesfromthedynamictensionofchoosingeitherpathwayofcreativity:creationordestruction.UnforeseeninthesechoicesarethemultipleIiminaldimensionswhichawaitusatthecreative/destructivegateways.Thesechoiceswemustmakeagainandagainoure

9、ntirelifetimebecausetheyareaspectsofinitiationandmirrortheproverbsofhistoryandmyth.TheyarethejuicewefeeduponandthephysicalandIiminalgritWebuildsoulstructurewith.Weliveindifficultpost-9/11times.Weliveinaterritoryofvanishedillusionsandrawreality.Americansarefinallyconsciousoftheterroroftheatomic/nucle

10、arbomb.Hiddeninthelongstillsilosbeneaththeearth,theA-bomb,schildrenwhispertous:uWhyisHiroshimanevershownasoneoftheworldsgreatesthorrors?BecauseitisAmericanborn.,Ourorphan,thehorrificallyconceivedchildoftheatom,waitsforustotakehimhome,tolovehim,andtointegratehispresenceintotheAmericanpsyche.However,t

11、herampartsofdenialarestrong,andwithinapostmodernera,thedesiretodeconstructanyforce,tangibleorintangible,isasprevalentastheairwebreathe.Creativityitselfhasbeendeconstructedandreconstructedonaframeworkofmetaphoricalstages,revisioningandrebuildingourconceptofreality.Thechoiceofactionbetweenthecreativeo

12、rdestructivemomentontheplanetiscriticaltoday.Asthestageissetforeitherforcetoarrivefullyandexplosively,sodoesrealityawakentotheDoomsdayClocksnuclearmidnight.Intruth,ifwecannotletgoofourattachmentstothemythologiesofwar,creativity,andthepowerfulhorrificbeautyoftheexecutionofweaponry,wewillnevershiftthe

13、paradigmwhichremainsinexistencewithinthedeeperStrata-Ianguageofpsyche.Wemustmovebeyondthelimitationsofthewordpeace.Overused,itsenergyislimitedbythelackofimaginationtoevolvebeyondit.Sinisterprojectionsoffearandterrorwieldpowerandcreateaclimateofinsatiabledesireformaximumforce,thesolutionistoacknowled

19、sthedangerousaspectofshadow.ThedarkeraspectsoftheunderworldareclearlymanifestintheexcessiveviolenceinterwovenwithtechnologyinthecontinualcreationofWMDs,andthevideo/onlinegamingandfilmindustries.Extremeviolencecontainsthesimilaractionsofnarcoticdrugs;consciousawarenessisdulledandthepainandterrorofpix

20、ilatedactionsaredisconnectedfromtheactualrealitytheycause.CreativitybeginstomanifestitselfinunconsciousshadowmaterialandamongallclassesOfhumanityandexhibitsitselfthroughthebodiesandpsychesnon-integrisbehavior,manipulations,anddiseasesofthebodyandmind.Humanitythenresidesinthehelloftheshadowofcreation

21、;ahellithasbrougltforthfromtheoncemythicalintotherealmofthereal.Creativityisoftenanorphanofpsychology.Onthejourneyofpersonalmythologyoneofthefirst“strangers“wcmustencounterisourestrangedrelationshipwiththecreativeprocess.Itspresenceremains,evenincontemporarytimes,heldinshadowterritory.Oftentolerated

30、ections392-93).We,ashumanaspectsofpsyche,canwitnessthetangibleeffectsoftheinvisiblearchetypesthroughactsofcreativity,violence,andarchetypalpossession”ordominanceofaperson,place,thing,orcountry.Iunderstandthesearchetypalforcesasmeridiansoftheimaginal,linesofenergy,thought,andpower,whichmoveoninvisibl

31、egridsthroughboththeinternalandexternallandscapesofallspeciesandenvironments.Invisiblethreads,meridiansoftheimaginalarepointsofenergyflow,notunlikeconceptsfromtraditionalChinesemedicine,whichatitscore,believesenergyflowsinrelationtotheelementsofnatureinspecificplacementwithlinesonthehumanbodyandland

33、nwaitintheinternalinstinctualshadowhouseofourlonging.Notyetintegrated,thishousekeepstheunimaginedworldcontinuallyblind,obscuringourauthenticvisionnottaintedbythepathofhistory.Whatwefearmostwhencreativity,sshadowremainsabsent,buried,orunacknowledgedistheexchangeofideas,ofphilosophiesandimages.TheInhe

37、nfromTokyotoreturntheflagtotheGovernmentOfficeoftheWarVictimsReliefBuildinglocatedintheMinistryofHealthandWelfareinChiyoda-Ku,Tokyo.Afterreturningtheflag,IjourneyedtoHiroshimaforthe55thanniversaryofthebombing.MypersonalmythologyismergedwithHiroshima.IgrewupwithimagesofHiroshima.Asanartistandtheoldes
