20、 from its surrounding edges.The master plan adopts a simple concept for treating the lake edge bund,which maintains the function of the bund to control flooding whilst allowing better integration of its form with the landscape and surrounding recreational and land use activities.The concept is based
21、 on the modification of the bunds location and shape.Modification concerns three treatments major,medium and minor.Modification of the bund however will require a detailed earthworks program and fill as dredged from the lake.On the eastern side of the lake the proposed road that will define the edge
22、 of the lake open space system will be lifted to levels at least equal to the height of the bund.This idea will maximize spatial connections and will form a better and stronger relationship between the lake and surrounding edges.目前，由于湖岸为高出水面数米的土堤，湖面与周边用地的物质空间联系和视觉联系均较弱。总体规划采取了简单明了的理念来指导湖岸边缘处理，即保持湖堤作
