11、 Dr CHA Chi Ming,the late founder and chairman of theGroup,acquired the equity interest of Hong Kong Resort Company Limited(“HongKong Resort”)which is the registered owner and developer of Discovery Bay onLantau Island.The shares of Hong Kong Resort and the other Group companywere once listed on The

12、 Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in 1987 andin 1988 and 1989 respectively.During the years 1988 and 1989,the Groupunderwent a series of reorganisation and scheme of arrangement and formedHKR International Limited(Stock Code:480)in May 1989 as its new listedholding company carrying on principally
