1、The Ways to Effectively Memorize English Vocabulary All the words in a language together constitute what is known as its vocabulary. Vocabulary is one of the three elements of language: speech sounds, grammar and vocabulary. Thus, in learning a foreign language, it is very important to enlarge ones
2、vocabulary. However, many people memorize English vocabulary by rote. They just keep recalling the meaning of words again and again. Memorizing in this way not only forget easily, but also spend large amount of time. We have to admit that it is far from effectiveness. Therefore, especially in the la
3、stest decade, many scholars devote themselves to study the effective ways of memorizing English vocabulary. Major fruits of their studies are listed as follows.Memorizing by root and affixIn the family of English vocabulary, roots and affixes just take a small portion, but it is them that makes the
4、family of English vocabulary an immense one. For this reason, it is very necessary to memorize English vocabulary by root and affix.Lets talk about root at first. According to Ebbinghaus memorizing law, we should review for seven times: first time-immediately after momorizing vocabulary for the very
21、 first time , second time-in the same day , third time-the next day , fourth time- the fourth day , fifth time-the seventh day , sixth time-the ninth day , seventh time-the tenth day. After insisting on this schedule , the vocabulary is curved in our mind naturally . In addition , no matter which specific way of memorizing vocabulary is chosen , this memorizing law always works . It is really worth trying .
