Most think that they are above being supported by the town; but it often happens that they are not above supporting th
4、emselves by dishonest means, which should be more disreputable. Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old, return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts. mean 低

6、贤人, 圣人 不论你的生活如何卑微，面对它活下去，不要逃避，也不要恶言咒骂。生活不像你认为的那样坏。当你最富有的时候，倒是看似最穷。爱挑毛病的人就是在天堂里也能找到缺点。即使你生活贫穷，也要热爱生活。因为就是在济贫院里，你也可以有快乐、激动、荣耀的时候。反射在济贫院窗子上的夕阳，同反射在富户人家窗上的一样光亮；门前的积雪也同样在春天早早的融化。在我见过的人中，只有心绪宁静的人才可能生活得心满意足、心怀欢快愉快的念头，如同在皇宫中一样。在我看来，城镇中的穷人，往往过着最独立自主的生活。也许就是因为他们很伟大，能够毫无疑虑坦然接受现实。大多数人认为他们高高在上，不需要城镇的资助；可是事实上他们往往并不高尚，而是用不正当的手段来谋生，理应更加声名狼藉。像圣人般视贫穷如花园中香草来种植照料吧！不要自寻烦恼去过分追求新奇，朋友也罢，衣服也罢。 翻开故往，回归故往。万物未变，是我们在变。卖掉你的衣服，保留你的思想。
