2、he tree is Kate.The man who was driving too fast was drunk.,(Attributive clause),Mary is a girl who has long hair.,句子作定语,修饰girl,叫做定语从句,先行词,关系词,定语从句,Mary is a girl who has long hair.,关系代词,关系副词,who,whom,that,which，whose,where,when,why,Mary is a girl.,The girl has long hair.,合并为一个句子,Mary is a girl who
3、has long hair.,1.The man is a worker.,2.The man is speaking at the meeting.,合并句子:,The man who is speaking at the meeting is a worker.,概念：,被定语从句修饰的名词或代词，叫先行词。从句由关系代词或关系副词引导，放在先行词之后。（注：关系代词或关系副词放在先行词和定语从句之间，起连接作用；同时又代替先行词，在定语从句中充当一个句子成分充当主语，宾语，定语或状语）。定语从句的谓语动词须和先行词保持人称和数的一致。,Eg:The girl who is standin

5、the reason),关系代词的用法:,（1）当先行词指物时用指物的关系代词that/which当先行词指物时,定语从句可用which 或that引导.二者都可在定语从句中做主语或宾语，作主语时不能省略，作宾语时则可以省略。A plane is a machine that/which can fly.The shop(that/which)I like isnt here now.（2）当先行词指人时用指人的关系代词who/that/whom。who/that可互换使用，在定语从句中做主语或宾语，作主语时不能省略，作宾语时则可以省略。,The girl that/who was badly
