1、CAD/CAEInterfacesTheADINASystemprovidesacompletesystemwhichincludesthefullcapabilitiesforpre-andpostprocessing(theADINAUserInterface)forallthesolutionmodules.However,toenableuserswhoarefamiliarandcomfortablewithotherCADandmodelingsystemstoquicklycreatefiniteelementmodelsfortheADINAsolutionprograms,w
2、eprovideinterfaceswhichcanbeusedeffectivelywiththefollowingsystems:InterfaceDescriptionParaSOIidTheADINAModeler(ADINA-M)whichisbasedontheParasolidkernelprovidesanaturalinterfacetoallParasolid-basedCADsystemssuchasNX(Unigraphics)zSoIidWorkszandSoIidEdge.IGESTheIGESinterfaceisprimarilyusedforgeometryf
3、romCADsystemswhereadirectinterfaceiscurrentlynotavailable(e.g.zCATIA).1TheADINAModeler(ADINA-M)whichisbasedontheOpenCascadekernelprovidesanaturalinterfacetoalltheCADsystemsthatsupportOpenCascade(e.g.FreeCADzCaSSadeCADExchanger;andDatakit).ST1.ST1.(stereolithography)filesobtainedfromscanned3-Dimageso
4、rCADobjects(e.g.fromAutoCAD)canbeimportedintoADINA.ADINAcreatesthenecessarypoints,bodyedgesandfacesthatcanbeusedtodefinefiniteelementmeshesandalsoloadsandboundaryconditions.STEP(StandardfortheExchangeofProductmodeldata)filescanbeimportedinto电酒STEPADINAwiththeADINAModelerforOpenCascade.PointC100dADIN
5、Aimportsthepointclouddataresultingfrom3-DscanningandcreatessolidobjectsthatcanbesavedinST1.formatforfurtherprocessing.1DEASNXI-DEASfiniteelementmodelsaretranslatedforanalysisusingtheADINAprograms.TheADINAresultsarethentranslatedbackintotheI-DEASdatabaseforpostprocessing.Femapfiniteelementmodelsaretr
6、anslatedforanalysisusingtheADINAStructures,CFDorFSIprogram.TheanalysisresultscanbeviewedintheFemapneutralfile口?FemaDformat.NXNXcanbeusedasapre-andpost-process!ngenvironmentforADINA.ModelsgeneratedinNXcanbeimportedinNastranformatintoADINAandtheresultsfromADINAcanbeimportedintoNXforpost-processinginun
7、iversalfileformat.NaStranNastraninputfilescanbeimporteddirectlyintotheADINAUserInterfaceprogram.InadditiontoreadingtheregularNastraninput,additionalNXNastrancommands,e.g.zfor3-Dcontactdefinition,arealsosupported.Specialfeaturesareavailabletomaketheapplicationofadditionalloadsandboundaryconditionsont
8、hemodeleasier.TheADINAresultscanbeoutputintheNastranop2fileformatforpostprocessingbyothersystems.EnSiqhtFromtheADINAUserInterface,resultsobtainedfromADINAstructuralorCFDanalysescanbeexportedinEnSightCaseformat.TheusercanviewtheseresultsintheEnSightpost-processingenvironmentbyimportingtheCasefiles.Mo
9、delcreatedinI-deaszsolvedwithADINAzandpost-processedinI-deasADINAPre-andPost-processingOptionsAlthoughtheADINAUserInterface(AUI)providesthecompletepre-andpost-processingcapabilitiesforalltheADINAsolutionmodules,werecognizethatforsomeusers,itismoreeffectivewhentheycanperformcertaintasksinathird-party
10、software.Inthefollowing,wegiveanoverviewoftheoptionsavailableforthepre-andpost-processingofADINAmodels.DirectInterfaceUsingI-deas/NXForI-deasusers,afullyintegratedinterfaceprogramtoADINAisavailable.Thisinterfaceallowstheusertoperformallthepre-andpost-processingtaskswithintheI-deasenvironmentwhileusi
11、ngtheADINAanalysiscapabilitiesinthebackground.ThetopfigureshowsasimpleexampleofamodelcreatedinI-deasandsolvedwithADINA.TheADINAresultsarethenbroughtbackintotheI-deasdatabaseforpost-processing.NastranInputOneofthekeycapabilitiesinADINAforinterfacingtootherfiniteelementmodelingsoftwareisfileimporttoAD
12、INAviatheNastranfileformat.Theusercancreatethefiniteelementmodelinanotherprogram(e.g.zNX,FemapzAnsazHypermesh)andexportthemodeltoaNastranfile.TheAUIcanthenimporttheNastranmodelfilewithtoolstoautomaticallycreateregionswhereloadsandboundaryconditionsaretobeapplied.Inadditiontostructuralanalysis,Nastra
13、nmodelscanalsobeimportedforCFDandFSIanalyses.GeometryInputTheADINAModeler(ADINA-M)isbasedontheParasolidgeometricmodelingkernelwhichisusedbymanyCADsystems,e.g.zNX,SoIidEdgezSoIidWorks.GeometrycreatedinaParasolid-basedCADsystemcanbeeasilyreadbyADINA-M.ThefiniteelementmodelisthencreatedusingtheParasoli
14、dgeometryintheAUI.ForCADsystemswhichdonotoutputParasolidmodelfiles,thegeometrycanbeimportedintoADINAviatheIGESfile.Inaddition,anIGESmodelconsistingofsurfacescanbeusedtocreateasolidmodelbysewing,thesurfacestogetherinADINA-M.ResultsOutputADINAstructuralanalysisresultscanbeoutputintheNastranop2orI-deas
15、universalfileformats.Hence,ADINAresultscanbepost-processedinvariouspost-processorssuchasNX,FemapzmETAzorFEMFATthatsupporteitheroftheseformats.NotethatthemodelmayhavebeencreatedentirelyusingtheAUIorbeenimportedfromanotherpre-processor.Inthefigurebelow,thesameI-deasmodelshownatthetopofthispageispost-p

17、samemodelastopfigure)EnSightOutputForverylargemodels,itisofteneffectivetoviewtheresultsinavisualizationprogram.Recently,wehaveaddedoutputofADINACFDandstructuralanalysisresultsintheEnSightformat(seeADINANewsofFeb.15,2008andOct.30,2007).Again,themodelcanbecreatedentirelyusingtheAUIorbeimportedfromanotherpre-processor.Toofferanopensystemandenableouruserstousetheirbesttoolstocreateandpost-processtheirmodelscontinuestobeanimportantgoalinthedevelopmentofADINA.
